Session Purpose/Overview

The Analyzing Student Work to Change Teacher Practice Design Studio Session will feature an overview of the proposed process that has been developed for teachers in Arts Education, Healthful Living, World Languages, and other designated areas to use for Standard 6 of the North Carolina Educator Evaluation System (NCEES). Participants will be able to access available resources, information, and materials and plan how to support their district or charter school with the ASW Process.

Session Description

This 3-hour Design Studio session will be offered twice at each 2013 Summer Institute site.

Session Objectives

By the end of the Analyzing Student Work to Change Teacher Practice Design Studio, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the proposed ASW Process for Arts Education, Healthful Living, World Languages, and other designated areas.
  • Access the resources, information, and materials available for the ASW Process.
  • Support my district or charter school in building capacity with the ASW Process.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the Analyzing Student Work to Change Teacher Practice Design Studio Session, participants will reflect on the following statements:

  • I can describe the proposed ASW process for Arts Education, Healthful Living, World Languages, and other designated areas.
  • I can access the resources, information, and materials available for the ASW Process.
